A WH formáció a mai zenei világba emeli Shakespeare szonettjeit és dalait. A megnevezés egy monogramot takar: Shakespeare nyomtatásban megjelent szonettjeit egy titokzatos Mr. W. H.-nak ajánlotta, kinek kiléte – akárcsak a szonettek tartalma – mindmáig viták tárgyát képezi.
A WH Márkos Albert csellista / zeneszerző kezdeményezésére alakult, tagjai a magyar zenei élet népszerű szereplői: Sena Dagadu, Márkos Albert, Gryllus Samu és G. Szabó Hunor. A koncerteken keveredik a kortárs improvizatív zene, a klangfarbe musik, a free jazz, a modern jazz, az absztrakt hip-hop, a spoken word és a különböző zenetörténeti utalások, a reneszánsz emberének íródott szókimondó, sokszor szexualitással áthatott szövegeken pedig a jelek szerint nem fogott az eltelt közel 450 év.

The group WH was formed at the initiative of cellist and composer Albert Márkos with the goal of placing the sonnets and songs of William Shakespeare in a modern musical context. The name of the project refers to a monogram, the certain Mr. W. H. to whom Shakespeare dedicated his sonnets published in printed form. The identity of this mysterious person - like the content of the sonnets themselves - is the subject of much debate to this day, but one thing is certain: in this formation, the verse assumes an appropriately enigmatic and exciting musical guise.
